‘Kids in the Kitchen’ with Chef Ada Chandler focuses on building the culinary confidence of your child through kid-friendly classes, demonstrations, and interactive events. Along with new techniques and recipes that are taught weekly, Chef Ada teaches proper kitchen hygiene along with safe kitchen utensil handling at every class.
Students will learn how to make a yummy snack: Homemade Soft Pretzel Bites with Cheese. This class will teach your child all the steps of how to make pretzel dough, including learning about yeast and how kneading is necessary for dough.
Parents check in your child at the EPM Kitchen and then feel free to shop the market while class is in session.

Over the last two years, ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ with Chef Ada Chandler at the Easton Public Market is one of the most popular cooking classes on the Easton food scene. This class, ‘Tots in the Kitchen,” is similar but for younger children, ages 2-4, who still need an adult by their side. Each parent has the choice to cook with their child or just assist, depending on the child’s age and capabilities.
This week: Energy Bites for Tots – Apple Cinnamon and Pineapple Quinoa — As if the little ones didn’t have enough energy already, Chef Ada will show them to be like the ‘Energizer Bunny’ — as they keep going and going with these tasty energy bites. Parents can bring a small container to take some energy bites home for their little ones to enjoy.

Locally-grown music from Easton’s School of Rock. Listen to aspiring musicians, who are learning their craft at the School of Rock, as they take you on a journey of pop and rock music. At first glance, Erin Kelly projects a humbled presence that quickly transforms the moment she steps behind a microphone. Her skilled guitar playing and powerhouse vocals define her country/rock roots. From an early age, Erin has been no stranger to large audiences. She started performing the National Anthem in public at the age of three. By the age of six, she had the opportunity to perform a National Anthem for the Philadelphia 76ers. Since then, she has performed for many major and minor league teams from the NBA to the MLB. Her years of performing the Anthem gave her the privilege to perform for General Colin Powell and President George W. Bush.

Join Chef Christopher Bavlinka, owner of The Stone Soup, as he teaches you the basic techniques of sushi making. In this 3-hour class you will learn how to prepare rice, how to cut fish and vegetables, and how to roll sushi. You will learn new sauces and ingredients, and sushi etiquette and history. Bring your appetite, as you will be preparing your very own sushi to enjoy in class. By the end of the evening you will have mastered the basics of creating sushi so you can make and enjoy this popular Asian cuisine at home!
