Morning Conversation on Food

Wednesday, October 18th | 9am-10:30am | FREE

The Easton Hunger Coalition hosts the free public “Morning Conversation on FOOD” series at the Community Room inside the Easton Public Market on the third Wednesday of each month at 9 am.  Participants explore such topics as food, local food systems, food justice, food waste, food recovery, and hunger.  Conversation moderators will provide information to guide the topic, as well as action items that can be taken to support the reduction of food waste in our community.  Don’t miss this important and informative program.


Healthy Living Wednesday

Wednesday, October 18th | 2pm-3pm | FREE

Easton Hospital presents Healthy Living Wednesday (third Wednesday of the month) in the EPM Kitchen!  Join Nutritionists Alison Unger and Carissa Hrichak from Easton Hospital for tips, techniques, and recipes with your health as the focus.  The healthy cooking demos and recipes focus on delicious and nutritious foods with health benefits for you and your family.  Today’s class features “Low Calorie/Low Carbohydrate” lunch options.  Apple Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps is the menu item and the class will also be discussing ways to pack quick and easy lunches.


Snip N Sip – Flower Arranging

With over two decades of floral design experience, Jackie Cozzubbo of Silks N More is launching an exciting new experience with “Snip N Sip.” Enjoy refreshments and a fun morning at the Easton Public Market making your own flower arrangement.  This beautiful Fall arrangement is composed of green hydrangea, mums, pine cones, vines, fall blooms and greenery for a variety of autumn colors. Container choices are a maroon ceramic birch, or ceramic with moss.  This arrangement’s retail value is $80.   Join Jackie at EPM and make your own floral to take home.

Gluten Free Comfort Food

It’s Apple Jam at the Easton Market District where fresh apples abound at the Easton Farmers’ Market and the Highmark Farmstand in the Easton Public Market.  Nutritionist Tammy Westney will teach you how to take advantage of fall’s bounty with tasty and gluten-free comfort foods.  Learn how to make an easy and delicious gluten-free apple bread and a roasted apple pumpkin soup.  Take the chill out of the fall weather with some tasty comfort food with no gluten!


Book Signing by Larry Fink, author of “The Outpour”

Saturday October 21st | 1pm-3pm

Join us for a special book signing with renowned photographer Larry Fink. “The Outpour” is a small limited edition book of photographs (only 500 copies) that Larry and Martha produced from images of the January 2017 Women’s March on Washington DC. The photos were originally shot by Larry for Vanity Fair Magazine. The book is priced at $25 and ALL proceeds from the book will be donated to Planned Parenthood Federation of America.


Magic Herbal Potions & Elixirs

Magic Herbal Potions & Elixirs – learning to make these amazing healing beverage remedies will invite you into the world of herbalism on a deeper level.  The ‘magic’ of herbs lies in their alchemy and energetic properties.  Students will begin to understand this technique as they blend and discuss ingredients to produce these traditional remedies in this fun and interesting class.  Be ready for ‘All Hallows’ Eve!  Presented by Herbalist Cheryl Karcher.  All students will receive a DIY elixir kit.


Yoga & Brunch with Easton Yoga & Greenmouth Table

Join Alicia Rambo Wozniak of Easton Yoga and Sarah Hinsch of Greenmouth Table at the Easton Public Market for a healthy and delicious start to your Sunday!  Alicia will guide a one-hour gentle morning flow to wake your body up and Sarah will prepare a nutritious breakfast to enjoy at the end of class.


Kids in the Kitchen with Chef Ada

‘Kids in the Kitchen’ with Chef Ada Chandler focuses on building the culinary confidence of your child through kid-friendly classes, demonstrations, and interactive events. Chef Ada will teach your child how to prepare each yummy item through a combination of hands-on, observation, and taste testing — with a lot of fun mixed in! This week’s recipe: Cheesy Baked Chicken Finger Broccoli Fritters.  Parents check in your child at the Kitchen and then feel free to shop the market while class is in session!
