Celebrate February with Chocolate at Easton Public Market
“Belgian chocolate is considered to be the gourmet standard by which all other chocolate confections are measured. What makes Belgian chocolate unique is the quality of the ingredients and an almost fanatical adherence to Old Word manufacturing techniques. Most Belgian chocolate is still made by hand in small shops.” ( from: wiseGeek)
Mention brand name mass-produced chocolates to JP and you’ll see him cringe — since arriving in the US, he has tasted them all and longed for Belgian quality. When the opportunity presented itself, he launched Chocodiem in 2012 and now makes premium preservative-free chocolates by hand in small batches at EPM. While this artisan approach results in a higher cost than mass-produced chocolates, discerning customers who enjoy artisinal chocolates cannot get enough. Chocodiem also offers drinking chocolates, pastries, gelato, and gluten-free, crust-free almond creations called macarons.
