    ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ with Chef Ada Chandler focuses on building the culinary confidence of your child through kid-friendly classes, demonstrations, and interactive events.  Along with new techniques and recipes that are taught weekly, Chef Ada teaches proper kitchen hygiene along with safe kitchen utensil handling at every class.

    In this week’s class students will learn about different pastries and desserts from other countries.  The class will make Dulce de Leche and Apple Empanadas and learn how to cut, cook, and assemble all parts of the recipe, as well as sample the finished pastries and take the recipe home for future reference.

    Parents check in your child at the Kitchen and then feel free to shop the market while class is in session.

    Learn how easy it is to add fermented foods to your diet. These wonderful fermentations that also enhance the health benefits of food are easy to make and far more versatile than people may realize.  In this class, Nutritionist Tammy Westney will go beyond Kimchee to explore which seasonally available vegetables taste great fermented and will focus on how to make delicious fermented roots at home.  Please bring containers for leftovers.

    Want to be one of the first to try a taste of Weyerbacher’s coveted 2018 Sunday Morning Stout AND Fieldstone Coffee’s new double-barrel aged Sunday Morning Stout nitro? Join us on Sunday February 11th! The Sunday Morning Stout Release celebrates the collaboration between Weyerbacher Brewing and its exclusive coffee supplier, EPM’s Fieldstone Coffee Roasters and Tea Leaf.

    During the party, Weyerbacher will offer samples of its signature stout, and also sell 4-ounce ($4) and 12-ounce ($10) pours. Each guest can also grab a 4-pack of Sunday Morning Stout for $15.20 or buy single bottles for $3.80 a piece. The brewery will also sell Sunday Morning Stout hoodies and tumblers. Weyerbacher will sell limited edition Sunday Morning Stout glass coffee mugs for the occasion, which will only be available at EPM.

    Fieldstone will have several nitros, turmeric tea and cold brews on tap for the event. It will also debut its double-barrel aged Sunday Morning Stout nitro – which takes the raw Sunday Morning Stout coffee beans, and ages them in Weyerbacher’s barrels before being roasted. Melbourn says the result is a nitro that has absorbed the rich bourbon and beer flavors from the SMS barrels, and pours like a beer.

    Weyerbacher’s Sunday Morning Stout barrels are also sent to Triple Sun Spirits Co. a distillery in Emmaus, for use in aging and imparting flavor in their Sunday Morning Stouted Whiskey. Triple Sun will be on hand at the release party, offering samples and selling bottles and merchandise.

    Easton Public Market vendors will be featuring special breakfast and brunch items for the release party, including omelets, bowls, breakfast sandwiches, crepes, soups and chili. And Chocodiem will be offering a Sunday Morning Stout truffle – the perfectly sweet way to finish off your morning!

    Doors will open at 9 a.m. on Feb. 11 and Weyerbacher will be on site with samples until noon (or until supplies run out) at EPM, 325 Northampton St.

    WOW FACTOR:
    Stacie Lampe, marketing manager for Weyerbacher, said that the successful partnership has led Weyerbacher to use Fieldstone’s custom blends in three other brews, including Sunday Mole Stout, Sunday Morning Sex and Sunday Maple Bacon Coffee Stout. Weyerbacher has two others in the works with Fieldstone for 2018. Weyerbacher distributes its beers across the country to more than 20 different states.

    Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this week’s class will teach students about chocolate and how to most effectively work with it for beginners.  The class will make a chocolate dipped strawberry pop that will be sure to please any Valentine.  The students will assemble all parts of the recipe, sample their creation and take the recipe home for future reference.
